Go Forth Stirling Weekly 10/1/2022

Welcome to the first edition of Go Forth Stirling Weekly News in 2022.

Virtual Meeting with Levy Payers

You’re invited to our virtual meeting with levy payers that will be held this week on Wednesday 12th January from 6pm via Zoom. Even though we had previously announced that this would be an in-person meeting, given the situation we decided to hold it virtually.

Please join us on Wednesday and let’s discuss the future of our Business Improvement District (BID), our City Centre and anything else considering your business and our BID.

Stirling Council have confirmed that they aim to issue an email to all eligible businesses in the next few days asking them to complete an online application.

For new hospitality businesses that have not previously receieved any COVID-19 funding, please keep an eye on this page.

For businesses in other sectors, please keep an eye on this page for support becoming available. (e.g. Further details on available funding for close contact businesses, including hairdressers and beauticians, will be published shortly.)

Back Stirling’s Bid for UK City of Culture 2025

With just 4 weeks left until Stirling’s bid for the UK City of Culture 2025 is submitted, we have an important ask of you all. Please back the bid! You can do so by visiting the back the bid at Stirling2025.com.

Make some noise about the bid across all your social media channels. This is not only important in the run up to the submission date but up to the shortlisting announcement in March (and hopefully beyond). Winning the bid would be an exciting opportunity that would bring investment and attention to our area, with a year of events, activities and celebrations for everyone to participate in and enjoy.
