Go Forth Stirling Launches Christmas Treasure Trail

Families can take part in a fun Christmas challenge and vote for the Stirling’s best festive shopfront over the next few weeks.

Go Forth Stirling Business Improvement District (BID) has launched ‘Stirling’s Merry Merry Christmas Challenge’ with puzzles to solve at a variety of retailers around the city. Fourteen Stirling businesses, ranging from Coorie Creative in the Thistles to the Shelter charity shop in Barnton Street, are taking part in the Trail with clues to puzzles available inside their shops or in their windows.

A map of the Trail and details of the retailers taking part can be downloaded here – www.independentstirling.co.uk/christmasinstirling/ – or picked up from the information desk at the Thistles.

There are clues inside frames in each shop which youngsters use to complete the challenge and they can then pick up a small prize at the Thistles information desk. Families are also asked to vote for their favourite festive shop window after following the trail around Stirling.

The Challenge runs until January 3, 2022 and there is a draw to enter for a main prize which offers the winner a Fun Day Out in Stirling. The Trail is the latest initiative from Go Forth Stirling aimed at encouraging people to visit a variety of different shops around the city and enjoy some festive entertainment.

Go Forth Stirling Project Director Danielle McRorie-Smith said: “We hope families will have fun taking part in our ‘Merry Merry Christmas Challenge’ and enjoy visiting all the amazing shops, cafes and restaurants we have in Stirling over the festive season.”

The BID has also produced a handy guide suggesting Christmas gifts to buy from Stirling’s wide range of independent traders which can be found on the Independent Stirling website – www.independentstirling.co.uk/christmasinstirling/

Go Forth Stirling BID was set up in 2017 and currently represents more than 600 local businesses with a key objective of delivering projects and services which improve Stirling’s trading environment to benefit businesses, shoppers and visitors. For more details visit www.goforthstirling.co.uk
