Applications for ‘Supercharged’ Shop Front Improvement Grant Close this Week
There’s never been a better time to improve your shop front!
Why, we hear you ask? Because we boosted our Shop Front Improvement grant and businesses can now get up to £5K to revitalise their shop entrances and enhance Stirling’s overall appearance. And guess what, this does not require matched funding!
However, because we have received funding from Council’s Place Based Investment Programme towards this initiative, it is required that all funds are committed by March. Hence why you need to submit your application this week. Don’t worry we’re not asking for quotes or designs at this stage, just tell us what you’d like to do and we’ll use that to assess your application.
You can find all of the relevant documents here and if you have any questions, we’re always on the other side of this e-mail to respond to any of your questions.

Your Say in Stirling’s Bid for UK City of Culture 2025
Stirling is bidding to be named UK City of Culture 2025. An exciting opportunity that would bring investment and attention to our area, with a year of events, activities and celebrations for everyone to participate in and enjoy.
As one of eight cities longlisted for the title, we’re now looking for your help to shape Stirling’s UK City of Culture 2025 bid and the area’s future cultural activity. We’ve launched a new survey to find out what culture means to you, what kind of arts and cultural activity you take part in, your aspirations for the year of culture and your ideas of how to tell Stirling’s story to the world.
Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey – it is open to everyone who lives, works or studies in the Stirling Council area. Please encourage family, friends and local groups to fill out the survey too and help strengthen the bid.
The survey can be accessed on the Engage Stirling website, while paper copies can be filled in at libraries across the Stirling area, including the Council’s mobile service – ensuring everyone has an opportunity to have their say.
Thank you for taking the time and giving your valuable thoughts.
